Quality assurance and reliability in environmental sampling
SGW is accredited for groundwater, surface water, and liquid effluent sampling, in accordance with the requirements of SMA Resolution No. 100 of October 17, 2013, from the São Paulo State Environmental Secretariat.
SMA Resolution No. 100, of October 17, 2013, regulates the requirements for analytical results, including sampling, subject to assessment by the bodies of the State System of Environmental Quality Administration, Protection, Control and Development of the Environment and Adequate Use of Natural Resources – SEAQUA.
Considering that decision-making by environmental agencies is based on technical-administrative processes and, often, on the analytical reports that compose them, SMA considered the need to ensure the reliability of presented results by requiring the adequacy of sampling and testing to existing technical standards.
SGW Services has always performed all activities and technical procedures strictly in accordance with current standards and regulations, and achieving ISO 17025 Accreditation corroborates the quality demonstrated over years of operation as an environmental consultancy.
As of October 2016, SEAQUA member bodies, including CETESB, will only accept samples, tests, and reports from ISO 17025 accredited companies.
The detailed scope and other data of SGW Accreditation can be accessed on the INMETRO website.
